Practice Makes Perfect: Lydia Sarfati Post Graduate Academy

I am dedicated to making sure that I provide the best quality of products to my customers and their clients. That is why I moved our headquarters to Secaucus, NJ. Now I have everyone under one roof- from our R&D team to manufacturing to sales and marketing – I can be sure that my products are perfect. Simply providing a quality product however, is not enough. Although I’d like to, I cannot be in every facial room that uses Repêchage to ensure that is it administered correctly. As I assumed cloning myself would be a lengthy and expensive process, I developed the 3-Day Repêchage Facial Academy. It is here that we are able to teach the foundations of great skin care, the importance of seaweed, how and why our collections work, and how they should properly be administered.

We hosted one of our classes last week and had a wonderful turnout! Repechage Educator Amy Murphy, an Academy vet, lead the class of estheticians, cosmetologists, and salon and spa owners with the help of Repêchage Educator Lauren Streeter and Kanshi Brand Manager Adeline Nkemnji. We also had our new Public Relations Associate, Brady Halbert, sit in on the class. It is important for all of our employees to know our products – as it should be at the salon and spa level. I always encourage receptionist to take our Product Knowledge classes so they too are well versed in the brand. So next time, don’t forget to include EVERYONE in your salon and spa in training opportunities.

For some of the students, this was the second or third time they had attended our Academy, this is especially exciting to me because it means not only did they enjoy our class, but they were finding they were gaining something new with each class they attended. It is important that as a professional, you continue to learn and grow with your career. You have to constantly be refreshing and building your skills so you are able to stay ahead of the game.

Below you can see our hands-on approach to learning. It is easy to watch a facial being conducted, but it takes time, practice, and flawless technique to do it on your own.  That’s why each our of students gets to experience, and administer the facials they are being taught in our class.

Although I cannot be in every facial room, I can try and make an appearance at each Facial Academy. This provides me with a wonderful opportunity to reach out to aspiring and seasoned professionals to bestow upon them what I have learned in the past 30 years in this industry. I want all professionals who use Repêchage to be the best that they can be in every aspect of the business.
