October, 2016 – New York, NY – The Lang Lang International Music Foundation hosted their annual fundraising gala this year at Cipriani 25 Broadway in Manhattan on October 17, 2016. Repêchage Professional Skin Care was there to support the honorable foundation, acting as a sponsor for this year’s event.
The Foundation’s Annual Gala was organized to raise funds for the organization, whose mission is to educate, inspire and motivate the next generation of classical music lovers and performers. Founded by world renowned pianist Lang Lang in 2008, the foundation strives to ignite passion for music in youth so that they can be leaders in bridging cultural gaps and helping to unite local and global communities. Over $2 million was raised for the foundation’s Keys of Inspiration™ program – a three-year public school partnership program that has established a replicable pathway into the world of music for grades 2-5, and serves as a model for urban public school music programs across the country.

The evening included an exclusive solo recital by Lang Lang and performances by Michael Feinstein, Jeffrey Wright, and Lisa Fischer, with special appearances by young scholars from the Lang Lang International Music Foundation as well as students from Harlem PS 46 and Boston Arts Academy Jazz Quintet. Attendees also enjoyed a gala dinner and walked away with some luxurious beauty products from Repêchage, including Repêchage C-Serum Seaweed Filtrate and Repêchage Sea Spa Hand Cream.
Mayor Bill de Blasio recently named Lang Lang New York’s First “Cultural Tourism Ambassador,” to promote tourism and the arts in the New York area. Lang Lang has always been passionate about doing his part to further music education, but developing the foundation has allowed his passion to blossom to the next level by creating sustainable, impactful, and unique charitable activities, as well as establish partnerships with dedicated organizations.
