Legnica, Poland – October, 2014 – The city of Legnica, Poland granted Repêchage CEO and Founder, Lydia Sarfati, with the title of “Honorary Ambassador of Legnica.”
Sarfati grew up in Legnica and lived there with her family until 1969. She then moved to the United States and went on to establish international skincare company Repêchage. Today, Sarfati still visits Legnica, a beautiful town in Southwestern, Poland, known for being one of the largest producers of precious metals in the world, including copper, nickel and silver. Sarfati regularly keeps contact with a childhood teacher of hers, who she considers a mentor, and even had a chance to reconnect with an old friend during her visit this October.
It was in July of 2014 that Sarfati last visited and had a chance to speak with the Mayor of Legnica, Tadeusz Krzakowski, about her achievements both in the United States and globally. Mayor Krzakowski and the city of Legnica were impressed with Sarfati’s accomplishments in the beauty industry, and wanted to acknowledge her achievements by giving her the title of Honorary Ambassador of Legnica. On behalf of the Mayor, Provincial Governor of Silesia, Ryszard Nawrat, presented Sarfati with this honor at the Grand Theatre – National Opera, during the celebration of the launch of the polish publication of Sarfati’s book – “Success at Your Fingertips: How to Succeed in the Skin Care Business.”
“No matter what I may achieve in life, I never forget where I’m from and the city that helped shape me to be the person I am today. I hold Legnica near and dear to my heart, and am honored to be awarded with this title,” stated Sarfati.
